Representative Ball of the Town Court Start the second week of the month in style by dressing it up for the 16th annual Representative Ball of the Town Court in Prague, which takes place on Saturday 10.12 in the luxurious Žofín Palace. The spacious palace will be divided into two halls for the event. The main hall will delight guests with graceful dance performances and the musical renditions of the soloists Dalibora Kaprase, Markéta Mátlová, and Jan Kalousek, and the smaller hall will host the band “So Fine” followed by a disco with video projection by Sláva Šmíd. Office Christmas Party When the CEO of a major American company (Jennifer Anniston) has had enough of her hard-partying brother, she determines to close the close the company run by the younger debauched Clay (T.J. Miller). In order to save the company, Clay, and his Chief Technical Officer (Jason Bateman) unite their co-workers and host an epic office Christmas party where they have the last chance to hook a potential client with deep pockets to save the company. Directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, Office Party brought together a prominent cast featuring Saturday Night Live veteran Vanessa Bayer, and Deadpool’s Karan Soni and promises 100 minutes of non-stop laughter for everyone watching.

Underworld: Blood Wars In the fifth film of the Underworld franchise, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) returns as a kick-ass vampire warrior travelling solo with nothing left to lose. Theo James is also back as Davide, one of Selene’s few allies that flees with her to an isolated icy refuge, after once again being betrayed by her own kind, where she takes the time out for a journey of self-discovery. This time director Anna Foerster, previously responsible for episodes of the famous TV series Criminal minds and Outlander as well as the blockbuster films Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow takes the helm in directing the franchise.

L’Amour de Loin To see world-famous opera stars on the stage of the MET Opera Hall one doesn’t have to spend a fortune and fly to New York! The Kino Aero presents a great opportunity to see live, high-definition performance transmissions of the MET Opera to the big movie screen. On December 10, audiences can see one of the most highly praised operas of recent years “L’Amour de Loin” (“Love From Afar”) by Kaija Saariaho, the first opera by a woman presented by the company in over a century. The opera tells the story of a 12th-century troubadour, Jaufré Rudel from Aquitaine, who falls in love with Clémence, the Countess of Tripoli, despite the Countess living far away, and having never been seen before by Jaufré. A traveling pilgrim relays Jaufré’s ballads and songs back and forth to Clémence to declare his love. However, when Jaufré himself journeys to see her, he becomes so nervous at the prospect of meeting his love that he falls ill and dies in Clémence’s arms.
