Here at WEAREME.FASHION we have chosen our top 10 from the best movies of 2016 and created a little playlist from their soundtracks for you to enjoy, so check it out below.
Alice Through The Looking Glass – “Just on fire” by Pink
Pink always knows how to entertain while sending a message, combining her signature pop and RnB sounds with the acrobatics she’s famous for. Just on Fire is her reminder to us to be ourselves in a world full of Mad Hatters.
Collateral Beauty – “Let’s Hurt Tonight” by One Republic
The amazing vocals of Ryan Tedder combined with dramatically beautiful lyrics in a mid-tempo song will make anyone emotional but also encourages us to look pain in the eyes and overcome it.
How to Be single – “Lean On” by Major Lazer & DJ Snake
One of the greatest dance hits of the past year, the electro-pop vibes of “Lean On” will undoubtedly get you grooving in the club with all your single (and taken) friends.
Bridget Jones’ Baby – “Still Falling For You” by Ellie Goulding
We know it, you know it and Ellie Goulding knows it! Three movies later however and Bridget’s still unsure whose she’s falling for. At least we have this killer pop track to remind us Mark Darcy will always be the one.
Zootopia – “Try Everything” by Shakira
A cheerful and uplifting hit performed by Shakira, who without a doubt has one of the most exceptionally unique voices out there. Listen to this song in the morning before starting your day to believe that you can conquer the world, just like the main character Judy Hopps.
Divergent Series: The Allegiant- “Scars” by Tove Lo
Swedish star Tove Lo reminds us once again that “what didn’t kill us made us stronger.” Despite all the troubles and pain we might be experiencing, this electropop jam helps you get through hard times and never lose hope.
Suicide Squad- “You Don’t Own Me” by Grace ft. G-Eazy
A timeless classic, in a modern interpretation by Lesley Gore, is a feminist anthem that portrays strong and independent women, just like the eccentric film heroine Harley Quinn, looked up to by eccentric girls everywhere.
The Revenant Main Theme
The eponymous title song of the movie “The Revenant” is dark, chilling and will make shivers run down your spine. Listen and enjoy how it evokes feelings of danger, uncertainty and compassion for the struggle and pain of the film’s character Hugh Glass.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2- “All of Me” by John Legend
One of the most beautiful wedding movie scenes in a film accompanied by the most romantic songs ever, this combination of film and song totally made us cry happy tears and dream of true romance.
Zoolander 2 – “Roxanne” by The Police (2010)
With the energy of a punk-rock band and the creativeness of a jazz trio, The Police will have you wishing you could turn back time to the golden days of music and modelling just like Zoolander and Hansel.
